Fibromyalgia Exercise

There are many things you can do for fibromyalgia pain relief, including low impact aerobic exercises such as water exercises, biking, or stationary exercises.

The most important thing is to start out slowly, exercising only around 5 minutes per day to start, slowly working your way up to around 60 minutes per day around 3-4 days per week. When you feel comfortable, you can start to do higher impact exercises such as running and other sports.

There is something else you can try for fibromyalgia pain relief, and that is opioids. These are a class of drugs that help relieve pain. There is a lot of controversy surrounding this drug, and a lot of doctors are hesitant to prescribe this for fibromyalgia sufferers because of addictive behaviours and a fear that it will lead to a tolerance for the drug.

One of the best things you can to for fibromyalgia pain relief is to be active. The more blood flow you have to your muscles will help to stop the pain associated with fibromyalgia.

The best workout I recommend is water aerobics. Warm water gets blood flowing to your muscles, and it is the easier workout for people with fibromyalgia. In water, you can do exercises that would be painful otherwise.
