Much has been talked about in terms of Fibromyalgia.
Its symptoms, the ‘Pills’ way of beating this disease to the pole, fibromyalgia exercises. Almost no one speaks
about a simple thing which can take care of this disorder in almost a jiffy. And that is a
Fibromyalgia diet.
Come to think of it, you can get across this disease by watching what you eat.
Ideally, the kind of food I would recommend will be loosely based on the framework that your body will heal and it
will be healthy if you have good nutrition. Since patients suffering from fibromyalgia have more or less
stress-related symptoms with severe muscular pain, the fibromyalgia diet must be a classical mix
of proteins, Carbohydrates and fats.
The point is what to eat and what not to. To
reach this point let me point out some food items which must not find a mention in your food/drinks
menu
1) Any kind of
chocolates
2) Any kind of Carbonated
beverages (Say Adios to Pepsi, Cola). Carbonated beverages have a substance called
diuretic which drains off the water content in your body and hence you must be drinking a lot of water to
intake those many carbonated drinks.
3) Say no to Alcohol ( Bad
news for the fans of JB, Teachers etc)
To ensure that you overcome any kind of fatigue, I will encourage
you to drink a lot of water a day. In this case, almost more than 8 glasses a
day. I can safely say “8 + Glasses of water a day, keeps fibromyalgia kind of
away”.
We have always heard that if there are fats in a food item stay away
and especially if you are diet conscious. In cases of a classical fibromyalgia diet, we can
talk about maintaining a ratio of 3:3:4 for fats, Carbohydrates and Proteins. The 3:3:4 ratio
is good enough for a person suffering from fibromyalgia to get their optimum
weight.
With a long list of don’t eats in the line in fibromyalgia eat, you
must be wondering what to eat. The answer is simple. Eat almost anything
which is not in the list bar a few exceptions. And believe me, if you are suffering from
fibromyalgia, this balanced fibromyalgia diet must get you back in shape.
Provided you work hard, you can beat the fibros….
There have been reports of people feeling releif of symptoms after
eating red meats while decreasing dairy and wheats. Allergies have been reported to play a huge role in
inflammatory conditions, so it would be best to avoid common allergens such as dairy, nuts, and eggs. Everyone is
different though, so make sure to keep track of the foods that seem to aggrivate your fibromyalgia symptoms and
avoid them as much as possible.
A great fibromyalgia diet tip is to change your eating patterns. Instead of eating three
meals a day, consider eating less, but more often. Try to eat a small meal every three hours. Doing this keeps your
metabolism and energy levels high.
Keep your diet balanced. If you try to control the balance of complex
carbohydrates, essential fatty acids, animal protein, vegetable protein, and healthy plant fats, then you will feel
better and your body will get stronger. For information on symptoms, please visit Fibromyalgia
